Combined Federal Campaign

The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is a charitable giving campaign conducted with all Federal employees.  It is similar to the United Way campaign but encompasses local as well as National/International agencies.  This CFC is named UP-North Michigan Area Combined Federal Campaign.

According to the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, "The mission of the CFC is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all... Pledges made by Federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season (September 1st to December 15th) support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world."

Campaign totals for 2009 are $96,791.  The previous year totaled $93,465.
